The Role
The position is for a qualified mechanic to support our growing mechanical team. With a strong focus on attention to detail and efficient performance, this role is also responsible for moving Millard to the next level as a renowned automotive service centre in south east Queensland. As well as being hands on with vehicle servicing you will be required to assist with a number of our back end operations such as inventory, Health & Safety, staff management and administration processes to ensure the mechanical workshop runs as efficiently as possible and we offer the best service possible to our clientele.
This role covers all customer relations aspects from taking calls, liaising with customers in person, inspecting vehicles and providing sound advice and recommendations. Tracking stock levels and re-ordering as required, processing sales and producing invoices.
In order to be successful in this role you will be able to perform the abovementioned tasks on your own or with minimal assistance. You will be able to manage junior staff and customer demands in a reasonable timeframe. Identify additional service offerings that Millard Service Centre may be able to provide to the customer.
The mechanical role is a vital part of the businesses new direction as you are the face and voice of Millard's. The customer is relying on you to provide expert advice and deliver our services efficiently and effectively.

Experienced in fitting and balancing tyres

Wheel alignment experience advantageous

Experience in repairing wide range of vehicles is desirable

Previous use of costar software highly favourable
About You
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified mechanic with current experience, ideally with 5 or more years full time experience. You will have excellent customer service skills, self-motivated and good leadership skills.
A background in the tyre, automotive, mechanical or similar industries would be highly regarded, and a current driver's licence is essential. You will have the ability to provide the best products, prices and advice to our customers at an exciting time for our business.
